The role involves working with an enthusiastic team located in the Kansas City metropolitan area and requires routine travel to various job sites, including our shop in Tonganoxie, KS. Duties and Responsibilities Operate and manage a commercial vehicle adhering to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Deliver and transport equipment to and from job sites around the Kansas City metropolitan area and the shop in Tonganoxie, KS. Ensure timely delivery and upkeep of the project schedule by coordinating with construction site managers. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, reporting deficiencies to the maintenance team promptly. Plan routes effectively based on scheduled job demands and traffic information. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chains, covers, or other securing devices. Maintain records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance. Comply with all DOT regulations and safety standards during operations. Carry out emergency roadside repairs when necessary, though mechanical knowledge is desirable, it’s not mandatory. Assist with loading and unloading of construction materials and equipment. This includes the ability to hook up, load, and unload trailers effectively.
