This position is excluded by the Charter from the competitive civil service examination process and shall serve at the discretion of the Appointing Officer. The duration of the appointment shall not exceed 36 months. The Department provides assistance and support to homeless and at-risk youth, adults and families to prevent imminent episodes of homelessness and end homelessness for people in San Francisco.
