Job Description

Essential Duties Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, threading, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment. Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, hangers, instruments, and devices such as steam traps, regulators, and heat exchangers. Pull installation measurements and perform layout as necessary for piping and equipment to drawing specifications, codes, and given instructions. Must monitor gauges, dials, or other indications to make sure a machine is working properly. Perform nondestructive testing such as in-service and hydrostatic testing as required. Education & Training High school diploma or equivalent, required Skills & Experience Must possess strong mathematical, mechanical, and technical skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&ID’s, and other job site drawings to ensure proper mechanical installation Working knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Knowledge of rigging skills A current valid driver’s license is required This job description outlines the primary duties of the position, but is not intended to cover every task or responsibility.
