Description Licensed Landscape Architect – Public Sector, Site Design, Permitting Lead Ithaca-area landscape architecture projects across campus, municipal, parks, and community-focused environments where client engagement, agency coordination, permitting, and public approvals are central to successful delivery. Guide designers and project teams through concept, documentation, municipal review, construction coordination, and stakeholder-facing work across the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier region. What You’ll Do Lead small to mid-size landscape architecture projects from design through production and construction coordination. Formulate original design concepts, guide designers through execution, and balance design intent with budget and schedule realities. Coordinate project teams; manage fee, budget, and production scheduling responsibilities. Conduct client, architectural/A/E, public forum, municipal, and agency meetings as appropriate. Prepare materials for planning approvals and permits; participate in construction administration, site/client meetings, and Fisher marketing or business development efforts. Requirements What We’re Looking For 5 years of professional landscape architecture experience and professional landscape architecture licensure. Degree in Landscape Architecture with ability to lead small teams and organize project work. Strong project management, site design, permitting, client coordination, and technical judgment. Excellent written, oral, and graphic communication skills. Strong judgment, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with local agency processes, planning approvals, permitting coordination, and regulatory review. E
