Lumber Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lumber Production Worker. This role involves inspecting boards for defects, assisting machine operators, and handling materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically capable, and able to follow instructions closely. Key Responsibilities Move along production lines inspecting boards for defects Identify and mark acceptable and defective joints according to instructions Assist machine operators with setting stops to the proper length Check links and ensure proper alignment and quality standards Safely handle boards up to 53′ in length, transferring materials from shoulder height to floor level Operate banding equipment Maintain a steady work pace while ensuring product quality Follow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and repetitive motion Comfortable working with long lumber materials and in a manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions Ability to work on your feet for extended periods Team player with a positive work ethic Previous experience in lumber, manufacturing, or production environments (preferred but not required) Familiarity with industrial safety practices Benefits Competitive pay
