St. Mark’s 8th Grade Science Teacher is a crucial position for the students, families, and faculty at St. Mark’s Episcopal School. While this position encompasses many different duties, its primary function is to plan, organize and implement an appropriate Science instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Essential Duties: Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences. Develop and follow a scope of sequence and lesson plans. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students’ varying needs. Regularly review materials and request new materials as needed. Provide appropriate assignments and materials for students. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. K
