Number of Vacancies: 1 Area of Consideration: Open to the Public Position Status: Full-Time, Regular Pay Plan, Series & Grade: DS0058/8 Salary Range: Up to $62,365 Closing Date: Open Until Filled Location: 4200 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington D.C., 20008 Brief Description of Duties The Athletic Trainer assists in the management, coordination and administration of all aspects of injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation for all student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. The Athletic Trainer provides holistic health care, wellness education and counseling for student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer assists in developing and monitoring policies and procedures regarding athletics related medical insurance, pre-participation physical examinations, medical services and related activities to ensure the University has a comprehensive health care plan for student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer assists in managing mandated concussion management, sickle cell, drug testing, and acclimation to sport protocols, consistent with NCAA and East Coast Conference regulations. The Athletic Trainer has an essential role in the allocation of medical care resources to support a growing NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic program for men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports.
