English (Faculty – 182 Days) JOB CLASSIFICATION Pay grade level: N/A Compensation: $55,446.46 – $67,822.90. Commensurate with the education outlined in the current collective bargaining contract salary schedule. Employee category: Full-Time Faculty- 182 days Department: English Reports to: Dean of Arts, Communications & Social Sciences FLSA status: Exempt Job Code: AA044182INS Location: Primarily CEHWC (Downtown KCK) and Main Campus, but any other college location as assigned by the appropriate administrator SUMMARY Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) is currently seeking a full-time faculty member to provide high-quality, learner-centered instruction to students enrolled in English-related coursework at any KCKCC location, while supporting the institution’s mission, vision, and strategic plan . POSITION DESCRIPTION Prepare course syllabi addressing targeted student abilities, specific competencies, textbook requirements, grading/assessment methodology, course scheduling, and/or other items as required. Teach scheduled classes in alignment with college policies and curriculum goals. Teach English and integrated reading and writing courses with clear and measurable objectives. Provide regular, timely reports to students of academic performance, including current grades in course(s) taught. Successfully complete important assessment work. Utilize student-centered teaching strategies. Demonstrate commitment to the program, division, and total institution
