EVS Surface Care Trainer

Job Description

Description The EVS Floor Care Trainer is responsible for training, coaching, and supporting EVS team members in proper floor care, window cleaning, and high dusting techniques. This role ensures staff are competent in the safe and effective use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and elevated access equipment, including scissor lifts, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance throughout the facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Train EVS staff on carpet shampooing, extraction, and stain removal techniques. Train staff on hard floor care including stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing. Train staff on window cleaning techniques for interior and approved exterior surfaces. Train staff on high dusting of vents, fixtures, ledges, ceilings, and other elevated areas. Demonstrate proper operation, care and storage of floor care equipment. Educate staff on correct chemical usage, dilution, and safety protocols. Conduct hands-on demonstrations and refresher training as needed. Monitor performance and provide coaching to ensure consistent quality standards. Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards. Maintain training records and document staff competencies. collaborate with EVS Leads to identify training needs and improvement opportunities. S.I.G.E.
