This role includes responsibility for delivering rigorous, standards-aligned English Language Arts instruction for 7th and 8th grade students while fostering academic excellence, strong character, and spiritual growth in a supportive Catholic school community Primary Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, standards-aligned instruction (Common Core, California State Standards) Deliver ELA curriculum (Reading/Literature, Writing, Vocabulary) and facilitate novel studies as applicable Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and use data to inform teaching practices Establish and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment grounded in respect and Restorative Practices Assess student academic and social growth; maintain accurate records and provide timely grades and progress reports Support student organization, study habits, and accountability for academic expectations Integrate technology (e.g., Google Classroom) to enhance instruction and engagement Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and contribute to a supportive school culture Provide additional academic support as needed (e.g., after-school support sessions for junior high- 2 times per week) Fulfill
