Description Special Education Teacher (2026–2027 School Year) Providence Englewood Charter School Position begins August 2026 Position Overview The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This role includes delivering specialized instruction, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, collaborating with general education teachers, and supporting students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth in an inclusive environment. Administrative Responsibilities Fulfill all assigned supervision and service duties Take attendance within the first 5 minutes of each class period Maintain accurate and compliant special education records and documentation Monitor and track IEP timelines, evaluations, and service minutes Enter grades, progress notes, and documentation into PowerSchool and special education systems Ensure confidentiality of all student records in compliance with FERPA and IDEA Instructional Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction aligned to students’ IEP goals Modify and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs Differentiate instruction using research-based strategies and interventions Co-teach and collaborate with general education teachers in inclusive settings Provide small group and individualized instruction Implement accommodations and modifications across content areas Utilize data-driven instruction to monitor student growth Maintain an organized, structured, and supportive classroom environment IEP & Compliance Responsibilities Develop, writ
