Job Summary: As a Summer Advantage Dual Teacher, you are responsible for delivering morning academic lessons in accordance with the Summer Advantage program model as outlined during pre-program professional development. Academic lessons will include two dedicated hours of reading and ELA and an hour dedicated to Math. As an afternoon enrichment teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging 5-week enrichment course that stems from your own hobbies and passions and introduces a unique and engaging offering to our summer scholars. On Fridays, Dual Teachers will travel and support Friday field trips, college visits, and service-learning projects. Job Responsibilities: Dual Teachers work for 6.5 hours daily and MUST attend all pre-program training Responsible for delivering the SA academic curriculum and assisting scholars in growing academically through whole group lessons and utilizing data to inform small groups while focusing on the specific needs of the scholars in your assigned class Responsible for creating and executing an engaging afternoon curriculum, the curriculum must be approved by the program manager Responsible for providing guidance and oversight to Teacher Assistants to ensure they are fulfilling the expectations of their position Manage and set up the classroom prior to program launch – including displaying classroom rules
