Opportunity Virtual Service Operations is searching for a System Engineer to join our team and provide comprehensive L1/L2 technical support for one of our premier clients, including regular on-site support in Tempe, AZ. As a System Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining enterprise infrastructure, supporting both Windows and Linux environments, and ensuring optimal system performance across the organization. You will manage server infrastructure, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and provide advanced desktop support while maintaining security protocols and system documentation. This role requires on-site presence twice a week to support end-users and infrastructure, with additional remote support responsibilities. A successful System Engineer delivers exceptional technical expertise with professionalism and strong communication skills. In this role you will be part of our growing relationship with one of our newest clients and have responsibilities in Systems Administration and Desktop Support including: Systems Administration: Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022) including Active Directory management Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) including shell scripting and system maintenance Server hardware troubleshooting and maintenance Network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN configuration) Virtualization platform support (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) Backup and recovery operations using enterprise backup solutions Patch management and security compliance monitoring Performance monitoring and system optimization IT Service Management (ITSM) ticket resolution and escalation procedures Desktop and Inf
