We’re Hiring: OSP Field Engineer in Sunman, IN! Great Plains Communications is looking for a skilled OSP Field Engineer to help expand our 20,000-mile fiber network. If you have a background in outside plant construction and a knack for project management, we want to hear from you! The Role: You’ll be the bridge between design and reality—overseeing OSP projects from initial site-walks and permitting to final inspections. You’ll work closely with contractors and local municipalities to ensure our high-performing network stays on track and on budget. What You’ll Bring: Field Expertise: Experience in OSP construction, GIS mapping, and drafting. Problem-Solving: The ability to handle on-the-spot construction changes and coordinate emergency restorations. Organization: Strong skills in budget estimation, material coordination, and permit filing. Drive: A valid driver’s license and the willingness to be on-call for network outages. Why Join GPC?
