Role Description: Arcadis is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA. This is your opportunity to spearhead high-impact transportation infrastructure projects, steering multidisciplinary teams through every phase of project delivery while setting new standards for engineering excellence and innovation. Role accountabilities: * Inspire and direct Construction Managers, Inspectors, and project staff to deliver outstanding results on complex construction and maintenance contracts. * Orchestrate and facilitate pivotal project meetings, seamlessly connecting internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals. * Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, critical documentation, and formal communications, ensuring clarity and precision at every step. * Safeguard the integrity of every project by rigorously enforcing contract requirements for contractors and consultants. * Make strategic engineering decisions, reviewing and authorizing change orders and supplemental agreements that keep projects on track and within scope. * Lead the review of construction submittals, perform constructability and biddability assessments, and drive comprehensive cost and schedule analyses. * Interpret and implement roadway and bridge design plans, specifications, and contracts with authority and accuracy. * Uphold the highest standards of project quality, ensuring every deliverable meets or exceeds expectations. * Scrutinize and manage financial processes and documentation to maintain project integrity and transparency. …
