Description The Sporting Goods Lead is responsible for enhancing the Murdoch’s customer experience by overseeing various tasks in the Sporting Goods department. They work closely with the Assistant Store Manager to maintain high merchandising standards, create task lists, offer training and development opportunities, and establish departmental objectives. Their primary focus includes exceptional customer service, overseeing the completion of department tasks, effective communication, and nurturing the development of the Sporting Goods team members. A critical aspect of this role is adherence to state and federal guidelines regulating firearms. **This job requires you to be at least 18 years old or older to sell firearms** *** Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience & knowledge of firearms *** As a Murdoch’s Team Member, you will… Commit to the success of the team by embracing Murdochs’ mission, values, and principles. Merchandise, stock, re-stock, and recover products within the department according to Murdoch’s merchandising standards. Complete inventory pricing and maintenance duties. Display consistent and sound judgment when dealing with exchanges or returns in accordance with company policies and procedures. Develop product knowledge across the breadth of products in the department. Practice service-oriented leadership within the department and cross-functionally throughout the store.
