You don’t need any experience—we’ll teach you everything you need to know, like how to mow lawns, trim bushes, and spread mulch. Just bring a good attitude and be ready to learn. A Day in the Life of a Landscaping Crew Member: Start your day by checking in in your supervisor and your team members. Review the day’s assignments, and load up the truck with the tools and equipment you’ll need. Once you arrive at your assigned location, you’ll jump into action by: Mowing large lawn areas, edging sidewalks and driveways, and trimming around trees, fences, and other hard-to-reach spots. Next, you’ll focus on landscaping tasks like: Weeding flowerbeds, pruning shrubs and small trees, laying mulch, or planting seasonal flowers. As you wrap up the job site, you’ll blow off walkways, clear any debris, and make sure everything looks polished. You’ll reload tools, clean up the work area, and communicate any site notes or equipment issues to your crew leader.
