Safety Officer - Humanitarian Response

Summary:  The Workforce Group, a LEMOINE company, is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to support emergency operations under the Office of Human Services Emergency Preparedness and Response (OHSEPR). The Safety Officer serves as the lead authority on operational safety and risk management within the Incident Command System (ICS) structure when activated. This position monitors incident operations and advises the Incident Commander (IC) or Unified Command on all matters relating to operational safety, including the health and safety of incident personnel. The role requires strong situational awareness, crisis response capability, and the ability to enforce safety protocols in dynamic, high-stress environments while maintaining a trauma-informed approach. These emergency response centers function 24/7 with shifts lasting up to 12 hours, necessitating flexible scheduling and extended hours to meet operational demands. Location:  Varies by Deployment (Emergency Response Center or Designated Site) Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the Safety Officer within the Incident Command System (ICS) structure during activations, advising the Incident Commander (IC) or Unified Command on all operational safety matters.
