Full Job Description: THIS IS FOR ENLISTMENT IN THE US NAVY. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Required: Green card holder or U.S. Citizen. Basic English is required. 17-41 years old. High School or GED Diploma is preferred, but not required. Position Overview: Damage Controlmen (DC) perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance and repair damage control equipment and systems; plan, supervise, and perform tasks necessary for damage control, ship stability, preservation of watertight integrity, firefighting, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Explosive (CBRNE) defense; instruct and coordinate damage control parties; instruct personnel in the techniques of damage control and CBRNE defense; and prepare records and reports. There are 6 credentials closely related to the tasks performed in this Rating that may be attainable as soon as Class “A” technical school has been completed.
