Duties and Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during various dental procedures while ensuring patient comfort. Prepare and organize orthodontic tools and equipment for each patient’s needs. Take and process X-rays and dental impressions to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies specifically related to orthodontic appliances such as braces and retainers. Perform sterilization and disinfection of instruments and work areas in compliance with infection control protocols. Track and maintain dental supply inventory, placing orders for new supplies as needed while being mindful of budget constraints. Setup the orthodontic apparatus and prepare the patient for treatment.
