OPEN POSITION: Piano Instructor SCHEDULE: – Part-Time – Flexible Options STUDIO HOURS: – Monday, 3:00pm to 8:00pm – Tuesday – 3:00pm to 8:00pm – Wednesday, 3:00pm to 8:00pm – Thursday, 3:00pm to 8:00pm – Friday, closed – Saturday, 9:00am to 1:00pm – Sunday, closed COMPENSATION: – $25 per Hour – Full Training Provided LOCATION: – Chicago, Illinois – 4900 W Elston Ave ORGANIZATION PROFILE: UpBeat Music & Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was founded in 2013 to help youth reach their fullest potential through music and the arts. UpBeat believes economics should not be a barrier to music education, and the organization and its donors provide many scholarships to underserved youth every year. Individual and peer-based small group learning environments help to facilitate social and emotional growth, while students learn the fundamentals of music performance and theory, gaining confidence and self-esteem along the way. UpBeat currently employs 19 instructors and is excited to welcome more teachers to their team! POSITION DESCRIPTION: The new instructor will focus on piano instruction. If the instructor is interested in giving voice or other instrument lessons, a small student base can be provided in those areas. The instructor will work with children ages 5 to 17. All lessons are in-person at the UpBeat studio on North Elston Avenue in the Mayfair / Jefferson Park neighborhood.
