JOB SUMMARY: A Blanker Operator is responsible for maintaining the operation of the Blanking Department by producing blanks required by the blanker schedule. Blanker Operators will inspect the assigned blanker (machine) to ensure all guards are in place, assess roll alignment, brakes, housekeeping and paperwork before starting production. Blanker Operator will ensure quality through visual inspection of the blank along with making machine adjustments on an as needed basis. The Blanker Operator is required to complete roll changes or print changes on the machine and will also unstack the blanks from the machine and load them onto a blank cart.
