Food Expeditor Position Job Overview Essential duties and responsibilities include ensuring the efficient flow of orders, ensuring orders are being prepared with the correct priority, and assisting in the final preparation of dishes. Works as a team to execute excellent customer service and an amazing guest experience. Experience 1-2 years experience in a kitchen is required. Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays based on business demands. Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. A working knowledge of the practices and procedures of safe food handling. Ability to multi task with strong organization skills. SERV-SAFE certified. Friendly demeanor and positive attitude. Ability to work in a team. Duties & Responsibilities Ensures smooth workflow of orders from kitchen and ensures orders are being prepared according to the correct priority. Assist in the final preparation of dishes and check items leaving the kitchen for accuracy, proper presentation and temperature. Ensures all guests in the same party are served at once and no orders are missing. Quickly corrects order errors to accommodate guests. Pays attention to allergy information or specific requests. Inspects the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning duties. Makes sure that the hygiene and food safety standards are met. Maintains professionalism and is friendly and approachable towards guests and staff. Reports safety hazards to manager on duty. Reports all employee accidents to manager on duty.
