The Finance Director is responsible for managing the accounting and financial operations of all Springs Rescue Mission and affiliates to include the production of financial statements, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the organization’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and reporting standards. This role is of vital importance to our organization as it supports and provides financial roadmap for SRM’s strategic plans. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Effectively leads coordination and integration of efforts among the finance department, including the design of an accounting and financial reporting structure adequate for achieving the organization’s goals and objectives. Oversee the financial operations of Springs Rescue Mission and affiliates including financial statement preparation and reporting, budget planning, monitoring cash flow, developing and maintaining best practices, internal controls, and regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings. Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Coordinates the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit and uniform guidance audit.
