Description Lead land development work in the Buffalo market, supporting Western New York redevelopment, commercial investment, industrial reuse, housing growth, municipal approvals, and community-focused site development across Erie and Niagara County markets. In addition to supporting the local market, this leadership role helps advance Fisher’s broader land development practice. You will oversee project delivery, guide project managers, strengthen client relationships, support strategic staffing, and help build a culture of collaboration, quality, innovation, and accountability. If you are an experienced civil engineering leader who enjoys building teams, growing client relationships, mentoring future leaders, and delivering land development projects that shape communities, this role offers the visibility and influence to make a lasting impact. What You’ll Do Lead land development project delivery across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and civil/site development work. Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality, risk, and client expectations from planning through delivery. Guide project managers and technical teams across multiple locations while building a high-performing, motivated team. Drive business development with existing and prospective clients by promoting Fisher’s capabilities and building long-term relationships. Lead and support proposals, business plans, project planning, fee development, and strategic growth initiatives. Navigate municipal approvals, public processes, permitting, regulatory requirements, and complex project coordination. Mentor staff in technical development, leadership, client relations, accountability, communication, and career growth.
