Job Description

The Registered Dietitian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) provides evidence-based nutrition services designed to optimize health, readiness, performance, recovery, and resilience of Soldiers and other tactical personnel. The RD develops and implements individualized and group nutrition strategies that support physical performance, body composition goals, injury recovery, and overall mission readiness. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and evaluate dietary habits, body composition, energy expenditure, and performance goals. Develop individualized nutrition plans that support operational readiness, physical performance, and recovery. Provide nutrition counseling and education to Soldiers, leaders, and unit personnel. Design and deliver group briefings, workshops, and educational materials on performance nutrition, hydration, supplementation, weight management, and recovery strategies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary Human Performance Team members, including Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Athletic Trainers, Cognitive Performance Specialists, and medical providers. Monitor participant progress and adjust nutrition interventions based on performance outcomes and operational requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and reports in accordance with applicable policies and program requirements. Support injury prevention and rehabilitation efforts through targeted nutrition interventions. Remain current on emerging research and best practices in sports nutrition and tactical athlete performance. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited institution. Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience within the last four (4) years providing performance nutrition services
