As a Utility Worker at Via, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our facilities, vehicles, and grounds. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly through a wide range of maintenance and support tasks. On-the-job training is provided , and no prior transit experience is required. What You’ll Do: Upkeep, sanitize, and detail buses and support vehicles to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for riders and staff. Perform general building and grounds upkeep, including custodial tasks and minor repairs, ensuring facilities are clean, orderly, and operating safely. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks (e.g., tire swaps) under training and supervision of the Maintenance Manager. Support the operations team with miscellaneous responsibilities as they arise, including moving equipment, organizing workspaces, and assisting with special projects. Additional duties will be discussed during the interview and may evolve based on operational needs. Who You Are: Hold a valid driver’s license. Dynamic; willing to wear multiple hats and work on projects of all types.
